Dec 20, 2011 - The Ford Motor Company and General Mills have awarded May Howard Elementary School in Savannah, with 10,000 Box Tops for Education® worth $1,000.

Michael Offer, general manager of J.C. Lewis Ford, presented May Howard Elementary with the check for winning the Ford Drives Box Tops Sweepstakes, a two-month sweepstakes that aims to generate $1 million in support for schools throughout the U.S.

The $1,000 prize will support May Howard Elementary School’s Parent-Teacher Association in their effort to benefit their school. May Howard is one of eight schools across the nation that won 10,000 Box Tops. One grand prize national winner, which will be announced later this month, will win 250,000 Box Tops worth $25,000. Schools can use the money any way they choose.

“This is such a gift for our school and we are very thankful for the generosity of Ford and General Mills,” said Leah Colby, assistant principal at May Howard Elementary.
