Dec. 30, 2011 - The SCCPSS Career Technical Agricultural Education Department partnered with the Georgia Department of Education’s S.T.E.M Festival, Gulfstream, and Georgia Power present the: Student Success Expo featuring Mario Armstrong (S.T.E.M /CNN Consultant). Make plans for Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012 at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center (Hutchinson Island) from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission and parking is free.
Mario Armstrong is an Emmy Award winning media personality. He is a digital lifestyle expert, talk show host, media personality, social entrepreneur, public speaker and co-founder of the educational youth initiative: TechTechBoom.com!
With the support of the Career Education Advisory Council, a council made up of community, business, and Savannah-Chatham School representatives, the Student Success Expo is in its third year and continues to grow in popularity. The event offers students and parents the opportunity to learn about the area’s major employers, post secondary offerings, and the many educational pathways offered throughout the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System. This day long educational and career expo has grown into a hands-on, interactive opportunity that brings the business and education leaders together for the benefit of all students. This year the featured presenter, Mario Armstrong, takes the world of science and technology to center stage in an energy-filled presentation that illustrates the importance of science, technology, engineering, and math throughout many different career fields.
There will be activities and events for everyone:
• Learn about SCCPSS Programs of Study
• 2012-2013 Applications for SCCPSS Specialty Programs will be available
• Student CTSO Competitions, Demonstrations, and Presentations
• Many College and Business Booths
• Food, Prizes, and Giveaways!
