MAY 14 - Savannah Lady Warriors Tip Off Season May 15
The Savannah Lady Warriors Semi-Pro Basketball team, with conjunction with the Women's Blue Chip Basketball League (WBCBL), will open regular-season play at Jenkins High School on Saturday May 15, 2010 against the Thunder of Tallahassee at 6:00 p.m. The Lady Warriors, who finished their 2009 campaign ranked 2nd in the Southern Region with 14-2 overall record, and defeated the Chicago Streamers in the WBCBL Championship Game 74-72.
Saturday's game will be televised (tape-delay) on Paperboy Network (Comcast Cable 7) on Monday at 6 p.m. and Thursday's at 8 p.m.
The Lady Warriors will also be hosting Saturday's Game with a Community Pep Rally in the Gym parking lot with games and giveaways. The Lady Warriors will admit all area AAU or Recreation Girls basketball teams for free with team rosters!!!!
The Savannah Lady Warriors are a non-profit organization who focus is not only to provide the community with a stellar performance on the court but off the court as well serving as role models for the "Youth" in Savannah and surrounding areas.
Basketball is more than a sport it is an opportunity for building support systems and engaging in networking that can result in goal achievements for young women's body,
soul and spirit. The Savannah Lady Warriors provided players the opportunity to play overseas. Join the Lady Warriors at the Jenkins High School Gym on Saturday May 15, 2010 at 4:30 pm for the Community Pep Rally and Game at 6:00 p.m.
