MAY 27 - Union Mission to Honor Mr. S. Elmo Weeks for 60 Years of Service on the Board of Directors
On Thursday, May 27,
at noon, Union Mission will honor S. Elmo Weeks for more than 60 years of service on the Board of Directors by naming the chapel at Union Mission's J.C. Lewis Health Center "The S. Elmo Weeks Chapel".

Elmo Weeks Chapel".Mr. Weeks, who was the president of Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors in Savannah for more than 40 years, and is a founder of Savannah Christian Preparatory School, was one of the original members of the Board of Directors for Union Mission and is the only original Board member who is still alive.
Union Mission began in 1937 as a shelter and soup kitchen for the homeless. The organization has experienced tremendous growth since then and now offers an array of services for homeless, low-income and at-risk populations including housing, healthcare, behavioral health, counseling and employment training.
