MAY 28 - Georgia National Guard Hosting Memorial Day Weekend Celebration
Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service. As in years past, the airmen and soldiers of the Georgia National Guard will be hosting a Memorial Day Festival in Rousakis Plaza on River Street to remember those who have paid the highest price possible for our freedom.
Events will kick-off Friday, May 28th at noon with an Opening Ceremony in Rousakis Plaza to be followed by near round-the-clock military demonstrations, live bands and music, arts and crafts vendors and a large variety of food and beverage booths.
